I have one last project to share that I created using my Jan. CFK using some of the coco & marshmallow mug ephemera pieces from the Mrs. Claus' Bakery Kit that I included. They are really stunning in person, if you click on the photos you can get a better view. All of the distressing was added by the artist,
They were created as a part of a digital scrapbooking kit, so some of it's "wow-ness" is lost when printed as a flat piece but I still like them. In hindsight, the next time I use elements like this I'll print them several times so that I can fussy cut the elements to layer with foam tape to give it some dimension.
I used a snowflake embossing folder to emboss the background panel. I added some splashes of white gouache, and applied some speckled egg distress ink around the panel and over the embossed snowflakes after it dried. The mugs were adhered using foam tape. I think I'm going to recreate this card so I can do a side by side comparison. Do you use digital kits to create handmade cards? I'd love to hear any tips you have on how to incorporate them in hybrid projects.
