Last year I decided to cut back on my patterned paper purchases. I did really great! Most of the paper I did acquire were gift with purchase freebies. I have been creating a lot of gelli prints, and already have a lot of patterned papers in my stash It just doesn't makes sense to buy any until I use what I have. I'm pretty sure the only patterned paper that I purchased this year is The Halloween Book by Mintay Papers. This collection has the perfect mix of not too cutesy & not too spooky Halloween imagery! I don't have a lot of Halloween supplies in general in my stash so I felt pretty ok with this cheat! LOL
This was my first Mintay Paper purchase and I'm impressed! The paper quality is really nice, it feels like it's probably around 100lb. weight cardstock but the images were very easy to fussy cut with a pair of sharp scissors. I cleaned up the edges using Copic makers to give the witch, broom, and pumpkin a seamless diecut look. I stamped a sentiment from Papertrey Ink's Just Sentiments - Spooky stamp set using an orange ink and then adhered the fussy cut images to my card front using foam tape. I also adhered a few tiny bat die cuts directly to the card.
I know it's been forever since I've shared anything but I'm still here creating, I've just been lazy about sharing. I'll be back soon to share some of the Christmas makes I've been working on. Hope you all are well, have a fun and safe Halloween!
