Did you get a chance to participate in any of the Winterfest challenges last week? If not you should definitely check them out, they were all wonderfully creative!
Stencil Me In was one of my favorite challenges. I used my Silhouette to cut my stencil. I just used regular printer paper. I used it a few times with acrylic paint on my Geli plate so it was pretty sturdy because of the dried paint layers.
I really like stencils but I mostly use them with spray mists or acrylic paints but for this challenge I used Momento's Danube Blue ink, which is a beautiful shade of blue! I used a makeup wedge to apply the ink and really loved the result! The paper really soaked up the ink, when I was finished it looked like a sheet of printed patterned paper!
I think that image is a dragon fly! LOL I colored it with my ProMarkers and then applied Stickles over it's wings. I adhered a corrugated strip of cardstock across the stenciled panel, and adhered the image on top of it using foam tape. I kept the embellishments minimal and tucked a button under the image on the left side.
Thanks for looking!
