I decided to make another card while I had my Love You stamp set out. I used one of the stencils I created with my Silhouette to create the circles on the background. I used a make-up sponge to dab the ink onto the background.
I believe I saw the make-up sponge technique on a YouTube video tutorial and I have been using it a lot lately. It's so convenient and it really allows to you control your ink application well, whether you're using dye ink or acrylic paint. The sponges are so cheap too, I picked up a few packs from the Dollar store. I usually cut them in half to get the most out of them. You could also easily wash them to re-use them if you needed to, but I just throw them out as they get yucky.
I inked up the last flower die cut I had on my desk with red ink, I adhered a glitter enamel dot to it's center and popped it up on foam tape. I stamped the sentiment using black ink, added some black ink mist splatters, and adhered the panel to the red card base after the ink dried. Aside from the drying time for the ink splatters, this card came together fairly quickly!
Thanks for looking!
