My first layout of the year!
Do you ever get really excited about a layout or project that you just throw it together, photograph it, edit it, and after all of that you realize you made an error? Yep, that'd be me! LOL I usually hand write my journaling, but I decided to type it out for some reason. I really meant to say "The weather during the month of December..." I didn't catch it until I sat down to write this blog post. I could easily go back and correct it, but I'm not going to! LOL I'm embracing the imperfection.
I cut some trees using a Silhouette file. I actually had them in mind for another project, but they worked well with my photos here. I love it when I find multiple uses for my craft supplies.
I used a few veneer stars :) I thought I'd be tired of them after all of the layouts I used them on a couple of months ago, but nope! I'm still loving them.
The patterned paper I used I got from Hobby Lobby during one of their "billion sheets for $1 sales." I rarely buy paper this way any more, but when I do I try to choose neutral patterns and colors. I love the look of this pattern, it almost looks like fabric.
I adhered the photos using pop dots, added some distress ink along the edges of the layout, and added a few splatters of ink. The "December" phrase is from an old Making Memories rub-on set. I can't recall when I bought it, but I know it was more than 6 years ago! It rubbed on like butter. I was really surprised because some of my newer rub-ons are terrible! So bad I stopped buying them really.
Have you purchased any rub-ons recently that you love?
Thanks for stopping by today!
