Black cardstock!

Isn't it lovely how that pink color just POPS  :) My Michael's is carrying some new products in the scrap isle... Studio G unmounted rubber stamps, and they are really cute!!! Some are $1.00 each and some are priced at $2.99. The flowers stems on this image is from one of the $1.00 sets, but I added some flowers using the little flower from PTI's Life stamp set. I also found these black & pink alpha stickers in the $1.00 bin this past winter. I'm glad to have found a use for them :)

PTI Blog Hop

Hey All! Hope you had a great Easter! 

This month's PTI Blog Hop is all about the boys! The last time I checked there were 115 participants so if you're looking for ideas for masculine cards you'll find tons of inspiration here!

I created a birthday card using PTI's Make a Wish die, love them! They make creating birthday cards & tags in a jiffy super easy! I used some paper scraps from a card I created last week to die cut the present. The sentiment is from Father Knows Best stamp set. 

I also used lot's of foam adhesive & a little button to add some depth to this card. Thanks for looking! Don't forget to check out the other 100+ masculine card ideas. I'm sure you'll find yourself book marking a card or two to scraplift later!  Hop this way :)

Spring Break

Hi all! We're celebrating Spring Break this week so things have been quite here on the blog. Tim is spending the next few days with his Grandparents which means more play time for me! Yay! Ok well I'm supposed to be doing some studying and spring cleaning but I'll get to that eventually :)

Last night I pulled out this lovely double sided patterned paper by Fancy Pants, from the It's the Little Things Collection. I SOOOOOO LOVE this. The floral pattern is different from what I'd normally choose but I love the text side... and it turns out I really  like the floral pattern too! 

For some reason I always reach for "real life" colors when using floral stamps but I didn't like the green ink for the stem paired with the colors in the patterned paper so I decided to use black ink. LOVE this! In fact I like it so much I'm going to try using some other non traditional colors with my other flower stamps.

A fun inspiration challenge...

Aren't those baby bibs adorable? This is the inspiration photo for the CAS challenge over at SCS this week. 

I've had this lime green cardstock in my stash for awhile. It sat... just daring me to use it! LOL I don't use lime green or neon co-lors often so this challenge was perfect!!! I have a new appreciation for neon colors now :)

I used PTI's Polka Dot Basics II & Fresh Snow white ink to create the pattern on the base of the card to match the green bib in the collection. Momento's New Sprout ink worked well with the green cardstock so I used it to stamp the butterfly from PTI's Butterfly Dreams set.  Then I stamped the sentiment using black ink the sentiment is from Verve stamps.

Bundle of Joy

Tis' the season for babies. I have had 4 request for baby cards in the last two days... something must be in the water or in the air!

This card features an image from SU's Fast & Fun Notes and sentiment from PTI's Mixed Messages. These bitty sentiments work so well with the images in this set.

Just wanted to share a quick card with you today. I don't think I've ever used this color combo before but I like it :) That little bird is from SU's Fast & Fun notes, a set I haven't used in awhile. I forced myself to put away Modern Basics to work with some "oldies" but goodies this week, so stay tuned :)

Hope you had a great weekend! DH's family came up for a little visit on Sunday, but besides that things were pretty quiet around here. I really want to organize and paint my craft room so I spent some time browsing the net for some ideas. Now I just need to decide on a color scheme :)

I also spent some time planning some projects for this week and started with this week's Clean & Simple Sketch Challenge.

I used Modern Basics again, I just can't keep my fingers away from this set. The images are supposed to be retro butterflies but I used them as flowers :)

I added a couple of buttons and a sentiment from PTI's Flower Fusion #1... another set I can't seem to put away!

It's your day!

Happy Friday everyone!

I'm sitting here looking over my to do list for today. I'm hoping to get some crafting in... especially with Modern Basics! I just can't say it enough how much I love these two stamp sets :)

I found some teeny tiny buttons in my stash that I paired with the floral image, isn't it cute? I love this sentiment too because it's kind of like an "all occasion" celebration card... you could use it for birthdays, graduations, Mother's Day, ect. 

Have you heard the news??? Two Peas in a Bucket is expanding it's focus on stamping & cardmaking!! They are hosting a month long cardmaking series that begins today. It looks like the website hasn't been updated yet but I'm looking forward to it. TP's was one of the first online forums I joined way back in 2002 when I first began creating cards with my scrapbooking scraps.
