I think I figured it out... why I'm more motivated to create a card versus creating a layout. My photography skills are crappy! LOL I seriously feel like my layouts should look like the layouts of my favorite scrappers... who also happen to be amazing photographers. Ridiculous right?! Well this year I'm going to focus on learning how to use my camera in manual mode. I have a Cannon S3IS and it used to take great photos on auto mode but lately I've been having issues with it. The cards I created this week were taken on Manual mode, I have no idea what settings I used, I just fiddled around with it until the colors in the photos "looked right," but the picture quality turned out much better!
Wii Wars {8x8 Layout} Paper: Echo Park Basic Grey patterned papers, Bazzill cardstock, Stickers: American Crafts & Making Memories, Other: Buttons & white Scrappers Floss.
So I'm just going to scrap my photos even if they are a little dark, or blurred, or have strange angles like the ones in this layout because the whole point of scrapbooking is to capture & document memories, so that's just what I'm going to do! Wii wars have been going strong for about 2yrs now in our household. They get fierce! LOL Video games are one of the ways T & his Dad bond. I'm not a gamer. I like the Wii but I'd much rather play Scrabble or put together a puzzle. Video games is their thing, and I'm sure it's a memory that they'll reflect on and cherish.
Thanks for looking! Hope you're having a great weekend!
