Today I want to share with you two of my favorite ways to add texture and dimension to a project. My examples today showcase how to incorporate these ideas in card making but they can easily be used on a scrapbook layout or an altered art project.
Layering
I love the ease of creating single layered cards but sometimes I want to add more to give it someWOW factor. Layering elements or cardstock on your card base is one of the easiest ways to add dimension to a card. For most of my creations I like to incorporate patterned papers which is another great way to add texture, but there are several ways to add texture and dimension if you are only working with cardstock. Scoring, embossing, and inking are a few of my go-to ways of adding texture.
Using texture applications
Diamond glaze, Crackle Accents, glitter, liquid pearls, fun flock, & embossing powders are all fun texture mediums that can be added to any project. I love the polished & professional look that Diamond Glaze or Glossy Accents give to a project.
This weeks challenge is to create a card or layout with texture by layering elements or card stock or by using a texture application on your project.
