If you've been a reader of my blog for awhile you already know that I love stamp sets that can be used in lot's of different ways... those  "for every occassion" type stamp sets. This one was calling my name!!

This is the first card I made using this set. I still need to work on the coloring but it was a fun card to create and the best part is that I can use this same basic sketch and design for the other images in the set too if I needed a card in a hurry!

Five Favorites

I can't believe it's Friday already! T & I spent the week school shopping, we found some pretty good bargains so he's pretty much set until the weather starts getting cooler. I haven't had anytime to create anything so I thought I'd share 5 of my recent favorite things.

1. Avon Magix

This stuff is AMAZING! It truly mattes your face and feels moisturizing. My face is always shiny and this has been one of only two products that actually helps to keep the shine at bay for HOURS. It's so inexpensive too! Just $10 full price but it's on sale for $7.99 right now. I do find that my face sometimes feels a little oily after a few hours but it never LOOKS oily so I'm ok with that... especially at this price.

2. Mark Skin care products also by AVON

 

...the only other products that have been giving me a matte look this summer. I've been using That's deep to cleanse my face in the AM along with Matte Chance to moisturize. Love these products because they actually moisturize. I find it difficult to find products for my combination skin that actually moisturize and fight the oiliness. I follow that with the Magix and then I do my whole make-up routine. Love it!!

3. Stampin' UP's new scallop edge punch... can't wait to get my hands on that!

4. Lands End Trello Slides

I've been living in these for the last couple of weeks. I guess the are supposed to be the LE version of Crocs. They are not especially pretty on my size 9W feet but they are soooo comfy!! Sears had them discounted for $7.49 :)

5. Our public library! T & I have been borrowing movies, CD's and books all summer. I was really surprised at how many newly released movies and CD's they have. We are fortunate to have such great libraries.  Our most recent pick was the first episodes of The Cosby show! T thinks Theo is hilarious! It's been fun reminiscing. I grew up watching the Cosby's... wish we had something similar to watch on TV. We also borrowed the Spiderwick Chronicles... such a cool movie for boys... well girls too but T has such an imagination this movie was right up his alley!

One more week...

before the school year officially starts here. Timothy is excited and disappointed at all once... excited to see friends and to start fall baseball but disappointed that he actually has to do school work. LOL

The start of the school year always puts me in Holiday mode... there's Halloween, then Thanksgiving, Christmas, and birthdays sprinkled in between. I was able to get a head start on Christmas cards but thought I'd take a break and work on some Halloween cards.

Made In Minutes Monday: Hanging out with Grandpa

I was asked by a client to help her create a quick gift album with scrapbook pages that can be easily duplicated. This is one I came up with which is super quick and easy and keeps the focus on the photo and/or story.

Even though this is an 8x8 layout it can easily be adapted for smaller or larger layouts. You can also adjust the measurements to create a card using the same layout.

This layout features products from one of the newest paper collection & accessory sets introduced in The Angel Company's Fall & Winter catalog. Also featured is a photo of Timothy and his grandfather. For some reason I have very few photos of the both of them. I need to take more!
