Happy Birthday

This is a variation on the spring card that I shared the other day. The background scanned a little bright...it's more of a "kraft" looking color. I used a dark tan colored cardstock. Thanks for looking :)

Is it safe?

To say it's spring yet? 

I sure hope so! I don't mind a little bit of snow a few times a year, or even cold weather... ok actually I do, but I can tolerate it for the most part. But I like consistency, and our weather over the past two weeks has been ridiculously unpredictable! 80 degrees one day, and 40 and 3 inches of snow on the ground the next?? Craziness!!

Anyway, thought I'd share a this card to get you all in the spring spirit. They say positive thinking can bring forth miracles so that's what I'm working toward I tried using a paper piecing template to give the illusion of stitching... love the look but I need more practice! LOL I'm trying to talk DH and DS into getting me a nice sewing machine for Mother's Day. DH thinks I'll just let it sit. He apparently still hasn't learned how obsessive this hobby is... I'll show him

I must stop collecting...

stamps! I'm sure many of you can relate. You have your eye on a set that you absolutely must have. Once you get it in your hands you might actually use it... twice if you're lucky! And then it just sits collecting dust. 

Well after receiving Happy Harmony from SU's sell-a-bration catty this year, I decided to pull out last years--> Alphabet Soup, to make some masculine birthday cards. This is one that I came up with. I also used Crackle Background stamp by The Angel Company, Basic Grey patterned paper, hemp cord, Palette & Colorbox inks.

Miss me?

I'm still here...just taking a much needed break to focus on my studies.  I haven't been creating much lately...although looking at my scrap area you might think otherwise. I decided I'd better get over here to create something or clean...guess which one I chose LOL

My neighbors just welcomed a new baby girl to their family today so I thought I'd make them a card.  The patterned paper is by NRN Designs, I also used Heidi Swapp Chipboard alphas, and Karen Foster alpha snap stamps http://www.joann.com/catalog.jhtml?CATID=82078&PRODID=134420 These are very cool! I just wish they had more fonts!!
