Made In Minutes Monday: Hanging out with Grandpa

August project #1

I was asked by a client to help her create a quick gift album with scrapbook pages that can be easily duplicated. This is one I came up with which is super quick and easy and keeps the focus on the photo and/or story.

Even though this is an 8x8 layout it can easily be adapted for smaller or larger layouts. You can also adjust the measurements to create a card using the same layout.

This layout features products from one of the newest paper collection & accessory sets introduced in The Angel Company's Fall & Winter catalog. Also featured is a photo of Timothy and his grandfather. For some reason I have very few photos of the both of them. I need to take more!

Thanks for looking!

Happy National Scrapbook Day

Just wanted to share a layout with you all. This one measures 8x8...

The patterned paper is by The Angel Company from a collection called "Hip-Hop." It's a great collection for those boy and summer themed pages & cards. I also used circle stamps from TAC from a set called Circle Sampler.

Have a SCRAPPY day!!!  :)

I don't like having my picture taken

This really isn't a suprise to most people who know me. I'm usually the one behind the camera snapping away. But I've gotta be better about that. One day Timothy will ask why he doesn't have pictures of his mother... LOL. These were taken of us by my DH last fall one day after school. Normally his pictures turn out blurry but I think he did a great job!

Yay it's Friday!

Well technically it's Saturday here seeing as it is almost one O'clock in the AM. I've been up scrapping :) It feels good to actually slap some photos on a page. It's been awhile. Sometimes making cards is easier! LOL

I really wanted to use a color photo with this pp but didn't have any that coordinated well with it so I used this B&W photo of Timothy and I. He kinda looks like me in this photo, but trust me he is his father's "mini-me." You can click on the photo for a larger image.

Supplies Used:

TAC's Hemingway collection... patterned paper, cardstock, & Ribbon.

TAC alpha stamps Mini-Bet and Paint-Chipped Mini.

Bazzill bitty blossom, gold brad.

Stampin' Up slit punch to make the scallop

I'll be honest... I wasn't really a fan of the Mini-bet alpha bet because they are soooo tiny. I have fat fingers... LOL so they are challenging and require a little more work. But my other small alpha stamps would have been a little too big for this layout... 8x8 BTW. So I thought some Faux MM tiny alpha stickers as seen here would have been perfect but I didn't have any. So I pulled out the Mini-bet stamp each letter on scraps and then cut then into tiny squares using scissors. I inked the edges and then use my "X" Xyron adhesive to adhere them. I think I'll be using them more often!
