Don't worry...

Summer has definitely NOT passed us by :) I don't know why but I always find myself thinking about winter holidays during the summer. Maybe it's because I have a lot more time to create during the summer months.

Some of my Angel sisters and I are doing a monthly Christmas/holiday card challenge. We basically commit to creating a certain number of cards over a period of time so that we aren't up all hours of the night two days before Christmas finishing up cards that we swore would have finished by Halloween. LOL I'm already up all hours of the night so I figured I'd get a head start.

IMG_5979

I'm not sure If I'll be sending these out because I only have four. I like to make all my holiday cards the same so that I can remember what I made each year LOL. So I may just add these to my ETSY store. I have had this patterned paper forever and finally got around to using it. I'm working on putting a serious dent in my stash. This time next year we may be relocating and I don't want to move with 45lbs of. Nor do I wish to pack it, and besides if I use what I have it just means I'll have more room for newer stuff... I mean I'll just have more room :)

Now accepting Pre-orders for August's Kit

With the new catalog I'm going to be offering monthly kits. My first kit will debut in August :)

August 2008 Kit

You can order this kit any time but the idea sheets will not be available until August 15th.

Why this kit program is AWESOME?

  • There is no monthly commitment. Just purchase the kits you love!
  • Each kit will be different and will be priced between $30-$40. Some kits will be geared more towards scrapbook, card making, altered arts, or a combination of more than one.
  • Each kit will contain products that will allow you to create multiple projects! You'll just need to provide your basic tool kit: adhesive, paper trimmer, scissors, journaling pen, & ink pad(s)
  • Each month I'll also include some optional add-on products that will coordinate with your kit.
  • You'll receive color printable idea sheets available in a PDF file or Word Doc. file that will be e-mailed to you. If you prefer to have one sent to you via snail mail no problem!
  • Your kit purchase also qualifies you to select a free GWP stamp!
  • If you purchase the add-on kit or any other items from the current catalog you could qualify for additional benefits such as additional GWP stamps and hostess benefits if your order totals more than $100!

Last game of the season...

Timothy had his last game Wed. night. He was excited to receive his trophy & medal :) He did really well! He's a strong batter but hates to run...LOL He's decided that he wants to be a pitcher so we'll see. I finally got around to scrapping a layout about his first season of baseball

Timothy

Sorry about the blurred faces, but I wasn't able to ask for permission to share photos of the other children in the photo. Ya have to respect other's privacy :)

Color Challenge #8

This weeks challenge was to create a card using the following colors

Blue, Green, Orange, Brown, & White

Cc08

Doesn't this set just scream "Summer?" All stamps used are from TAC. The main images are from T-2944 Spring Time. For the grass I used the grass image from the retired stamp set Happy Bug Day (sorry I can't recall the item #). The butterflies are from T-2727 Wild for You. "Enjoy" is from T- 2751 Everyday Events and the other sentiment words are from T-1163 Soft Spoken

Cc08c

I sponged the "sky" using a light blue dye ink, and added stickles to the butterflies. Some of the grass and the tree leaves have been cut out and mounted using foam tape. TFL!

It's almost that time again...

When The Angel Company will release the new Fall/Winter 08 catalog. I always find myself reflecting on past purchases... some that have sat un-inked for one reason or another   Thinking so I'm making it a point to use some of my purchases over the last 6 months so that I can justify buying more!  Bounce

I made this card last night...

Feelbetter

The main image is from TAC's Everyday Events. I colored it using markers & watercolored pencils & a blender pen. I stamped the card base using TAC's that so girly swirly using versamagic ink. The sentiment is from TAC's Ordinary Greetings, stamped using Palette L' Amore Red ink. TFL!

Color Challenge #7

 SmileyCentral.com

Morning All!... ok well it was morning when I started typing this post. Typepad is being finicky today.

This weeks challenge is to create something using the following color combo...

CC07 choices

Here's my card

Colorc1

The butterfly image is from a retired L.E. set by TAC. I stamped it using black ink and then heat embossed it. I used red, yellow, and orange markers along with a blender pen to color it. I then stamped the sentiment from Inspirational Sayings using orange ink. And to give it a little extra something I sponged the edges using yellow ink first and then repeated the process using red ink.

Thanks for looking!

Color Challenge # 6

* I'm not sure what happened to the resolution of the photos, but if you click on them they won't appear blurry. Thanks for looking! :)

Cc06b

Here's my card for this week. Our challenge was to create something using only the colors purple, green, & white. The only exception is that we could stamp our image using black ink.

Cc06a

I also used a large circle from the Circle Sampler stamp set stamp set and stamped it using Palette Giverny Green. I love this green! I then matted the butterfly image to a scallop circle I cut from a light purple cardstock.

I used a 4x4 light purple cardstock for the card base and adhered to it a 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch piece of green cardstock. I cut a smaller piece of patterned paper from The Angel Company's' Gentle Beginnings paper pack.

Then I added foam tape to the back of the scallop and adhered it to the front of the card.

Hope you had a great weekend!

Happy Tuesday...

I almost typed Happy Monday... LOL Hope you all had a nice Memorial Day. The weather here was beautiful yesterday!

Just a quick card for you today. This card features a flower from "Fanciful Flowers" one of my favorite floral stamps sets by The Angel Company. Unfortunately it's been added to the discontinued list so you won't see it in the upcoming Fall/Winter catty.

I started making this card for a challenge over at PaperWings but realized I hadn't followed the directions, and I was the one who created the challenge! I thought I'd share it with you anyway... I used DCWV Blue #1 and Purple #3 cardstock, white cardstock, and Palette inks Starry Night & Giverny Green. I also used a paper piercer to punch holes on the white cardstock mat & used a edge distresser on the purple mat to add some detail to the image.

Thanks for looking!
